Springfield Crews Respond to Single-Vehicle Crash on I-90
Narrative
Springfield Township, PA – This evening, at approximately 6:15 PM, emergency crews from the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle crash near the 1-mile marker on the eastbound lanes. West County Paramedics (Unit 112) were first on scene and reported a single vehicle with moderate damage, which had come to rest against the center cable barrier in the median. All occupants were out of the vehicle, and no injuries were reported.
Engine 643 arrived shortly after and secured the vehicle. With no hazards or medical needs present, all units cleared the scene and returned in service. Pennsylvania State Police remained on scene to complete the investigation and await the arrival of the vehicle recovery service.
