Springfield Township, PA – On Tuesday morning around 10:40 AM, crews from the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department and West County Paramedics were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident along the westbound lanes of I-90, near the 6 mile-marker and exit ramp. West County Ambulance 110 responded and arrived on scene within 8 minutes of the initial call. Engine 643 arrived shortly afterward, and Chief 640 assumed command of the incident. Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle that had left the roadway. One patient was transported to a nearby hospital. No further details have been released at this time. Pennsylvania State Police were on scene and are handling the investigation.
