Girard, PA – Just after midnight, first responders from A.F. Dobler Hose, Fairview Fire and Rescue, and West County Paramedics were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident near 530 East Main Street. West County 111 was first to arrive, finding a vehicle that had struck a telephone pole with moderate damage. One occupant had already been extricated. Rescue 544 (Girard) and Utility 529 (Fairview) arrived shortly after, assisting with traffic control alongside additional personnel from both Girard and Fairview. Upon further assessment, crews reported that the vehicle sustained moderate to heavy damage. One person was transported to UPMC Hamot by West County 111.
According to initial reports, the vehicle veered off the road, sideswiping a telephone pole on the passenger side before colliding with another on the driver’s side.
